Modular houses, i.e. houses made of blocks

Modular construction is nothing new. For many years, houses have been made with the use of prefabricated elements, meaning elements that have been previously prepared.

These houses are manufactured in a factory. The finished modules are delivered to a given plot and assembled on site. Such a system significantly shortens the time of building a house and allows one to enjoy its space. How to take advantage of it? Is it possible to live in a modular house?

What is a modular house?

Modular houses are becoming increasingly popular for several reasons. First of all, their construction resembles traditional houses. In addition, they often have a modern and unique design. Above all, however, they are highly functional. They are most often used as recreational houses built by tourism companies in attractive locations. In the small space of a modular house, it is possible to design a fully functional and self-contained interior that will meet the needs of even the most demanding users.

How are modular houses built?

The most popular modular houses are made of wood, just like the ones we build at Pinehaus. Their standard size is 35 m2. However, nothing prevents us from offering you more space. Like traditional houses, such houses are equipped with all necessary installations, doors and windows. In addition, their roof can be made of traditional sheet metal or asphalt shingles. On the other hand, the different types of wood and available finishes make each Pinehaus house look unique.

Modular houses are built of prefabricated elements. This means that all structural elements are created in our factory. We use the best materials from certified sources to offer you the highest quality. We deliver the ready-made modules to a given plot and assemble them on site. Even though it usually takes several weeks to prepare them, the sole assembly takes a few days at most. As a result, you receive a home you can move into shortly after your order.

How to use a modular house?

An area of 35 m2 is enough to create an interior that works for relaxation. In a prefabricated modular house of this size, you can easily separate a kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom. There is also an option with a mezzanine floor, which offers an additional private area. The various solutions that can be used in such a building mean that you get a space where you can rest and recuperate comfortably. Such a house is a great place for a weekend getaway, a holiday or even a longer stay.

By using the right materials, insulation, as well as heating and sanitary systems, you can use the modular house all year round. This makes it the ideal place for an office. Although there is already a large group of people in Poland for whom year-round modular homes are replacing traditional houses or flats. No wonder – they are a convenient alternative to flats in crowded city centres. All you need is a small plot of land on the outskirts to enjoy your own house.
